Coombe Farm Studios

From the start of the Coombe project it has been our desire to work with artist's and makers who are committed to producing a high standard of work through which they challenge their own creative development. Whether putting this work on show to the public through our gallery programme, or giving others the benefit of their experience through teaching, we are privileged to be associated with consummate and dedicated professionals.
Those who teach here all earn their living at their chosen art or craft so the courses are a real "handing on" of a skill as in the old apprenticeship idea, not an academic diploma gaining exercise. Our aim has always been to do this in a relaxed atmosphere, where as much is gained from the tranquil surroundings and the interaction and enjoyment of fellow students as the excitement of the creative process itself.

Directions:
From the M5 join the A38, in the direction of Plymouth. Leave at the junction signposted to Totnes on the A384. From Totnes turn right onto the A381 toward Harberton and Dartmouth. One mile uphill turn left towards Ashprington and Cornworthy. After Ashprington cross the bridge and continue towards Tuckenhay. Past Tuckenhay, approximately three miles on, turn right at eh T junction by the Old Priory arch. Continue through the tiny hamlet of East Cornworthy, at the foot of the hill and take the first right past the small bridge. You can't miss us!
