The gallery has relocated to new premises next door at 82 Christchurch Road, Ringwood.
With three floors and more wall and floor space there will be much more flexibility to display larger and more varied works.
Work from leading
potters and promising newcomers is always available, usually including
work by TIM ANDREWS, RICHARD BATTERHAM, CLIVE BOWEN, KYRA CANE,
CHRIS CARTER, MIKE DODD, SAM HALL, ANDREW HILL, DAVID FRITH, ANNE
JAMES, DAVID LEACH, JOHN LEACH, JIM MALONE, JOHN MALTBY, WILLIAM
MARSHALL, URSULA MOMMENS, URSULA MORLEY PRICE, RICHARD PHETHEAN,
JOHN POLLEX, NICK REES, MARY RICH, PHIL ROGERS, ANTONIA SALMON,
MARIANNE DE TREY, RUTHANNE TUDBALL, ALAN WALLWORK and SASHA WARDELL.
As an added
dimension interesting ceramic jewellery and carefully selected paintings,
mostly by artists from the South of England with leanings towards
impressionistic and the abstract, are also on display.
The Gallery
works closely with local businesses and organisations to promote
an awareness of contemporary arts and crafts by means of talks and
displays and welcomes visits from student groups. Currently it has
undertaken to fill the glass show cases in the foyer of Poole Arts
Centre, changing the work on a regular basis. This brings contemporary
work to a larger audience who will hopefully come to appreciate
the quality and diversity of the displays.
The Gallery operates the OwnArt scheme which enables customers to purchase larger items by means of an interest free loan. Terms and conditions apply.
